The Tarangire Sopa Lodge, built as a 'low profile' structure, nestles into a wooded hillside valley overlooking Tarangire Hill. Tarangire Sopa Lodge is the only luxury 'hotel-like' lodge in Tarangire. The Lodge offers spacious rooms with good views over the bush; a pleasant lounge and restaurant, and a unique swimming pool located at the edge of a rocky gorge.
By the side of the reception lobby is the coffee shop where you can enjoy one of a wide range of Tanzanian highland brews together with one of our freshly baked pastries. Adjacent to this area a flight of steps takes you down into the dining room for a leisurely meal beneath an intricately painted mural painted onto a high gable at one end of the room. Even the floor is a work of art with its multi-coloured timbers and copper nails.
If you relish the great outdoors, the restaurant has a terrace running along one side of its entire length so you can enjoy your breakfast with a view over the park’s tree-studded, grassy plains.

Restaurant
The Restaurant, located in the main building, features high ceilings and terraces which provide spectacular views of the bush and resident wildlife while dining. This area is non-smoking. Meals served are a cosmopolitan blend of European, African and Asian dishes, all made with fresh produce.

The Lodge can accommodate 160 guests in 75 suites, each with wall-to-wall carpeting, a bedroom with two queen size beds and ample room for a third, lounge area with mini-bar, private bathroom with shaver sockets and hair dryer, and a private verandah which offers stunning views over the baobab-studded landscape.
